Seeds of Hope International Partnerships grew out of the missions ministry of the Santa Maria Vineyard. In 2002, the Vineyard first began visiting Zambia and got the vision to equip people there to meet the needs in their communities. Together with the Mercy Vineyard, we were able to successfully train local Zambians in hand pump repair and participatory hygiene training. Some of the local Africans who were trained got so excited that they began to repair wells and do trainings in many of the surrounding communities. Because of their hard work and integrity, what we planted was able to bear a lot of fruit. Over the next several years, the Santa Maria Vineyard continued sending other teams to train and encourage them further. Through God’s blessings, we were able to speak to some of the leaders of UNICEF in Zambia about our work and they said that where we are working and what we are doing is exactly where and what they want to do. Within three months of our initial meeting with UNICEF, we had a signed contract to facilitate drilling wells, training community leaders in hygiene, and building latrines at thirty-eight schools. This led us to realize that we were doing was much bigger than the Santa Maria Vineyard and we established Seeds of Hope International Partnerships as a registered NGO in Zambia. |

The Santa Maria Vineyard has continued to be an integral part of the ministry of Seeds of Hope through countless fundraisers, endless volunteer hours, faithful donors, and dedicated team members. Their sacrificial financial support has facilitated the growth of Seeds of Hope to what it is today. Though only a small church of two hundred people, the Santa Maria Vineyard has and continues to impact Zambia in a huge way through their support of Seeds of Hope. |
